Gemini Mirror September 13th – November 2nd

Paris London Hong Kong is pleased to present Gemini Mirror, a selection of new paintings and sculptures by Los Angeles artist Frank Van Duerm. The exhibition opens on Friday, September 13th with a reception from 5-8 PM and remains on view through November 2nd, 2019.

Emptied amplifier cabinets and bleached black denim serve as settings for stoneware vessels, talisman, and gemini paintings. 

These works originate somewhere between a Midwestern basement practice space and the strip malls of Southern California. 

Gemini Mirror takes its name from a future release on Felix Onyx, a small label ran by Van Duerm with two releases at present, which include The Engine’s Near Is Unconstructed by Jeff Kolar and Night Blooming Planet by emacs. 

Frank Van Duerm was born in 1982 in Chicago, Illinois. He lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
