Nicholas Gottlund | AlwaysNicholas Gottlund is a sixth generation printer. In 2007 he started the publishing project GottlundVerlag, which produces limited edition artist books and multiples by hand. His own artistic practice is deeply informed by his work and family history in printing and publishing. Gottlund has exhibited nationally and internationally, at spaces including the FOAM Photography Museum in Amsterdam; Temple Gallery in Paris; Karma in New York; and the Contemporary Museum in Baltimore, among others. His work is held in numerous private collections as well as the public collections of the MoMA Library, Whitney Museum Library, the FOAM Photography Museum as well as the Baltimore Museum of Art. Upcoming projects include a group show at Signal in Brooklyn, and a lecture at the Tokyo Art Book Fair. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
